PT Pertamina EP was established on September 13, 2005. In line with the formation of PT Pertamina EP, on September 17, 2005, PT Pertamina (Persero) has signed a cooperation contract with BPMIGAS (now SKKMIGAS) retroactively since 17 September 2003 of all Oil and Natural Gas Mining Authority conferred by law based on Law No. 22 Year 2001 regarding Oil and Natural Gas.
